Building sustainable services and infrastructure to power innovation in UK mental health services

MHDI is building the infrastructure, standards and partnerships needed to enable safe, equitable, scalable adoption of digital mental health innovation across the NHS and beyond while ensuring digital innovation is driven by the priorities, experiences and outcomes that matter to patients, carers and clinicians.

MHDI is one of six national workstreams in the UK Government's Mental Health Goals Programme.

Funded by the Office for Life Sciences and delivered by the Medical Research Council (MRC), the programme is investing up to £50 million over five years to build world-leading infrastructure in mental health data, digital technology, genomics, clinical trials and lived experience partnerships.
